About
Molly Skubak writes stories about women who are overlooked, underestimated, and about to get into some trouble. Armed with a degree in psychology and a career in copywriting, Molly excels at crafting multifaceted, fully realized characters whose voices are at once unique and relatable. And after a childhood defined by the threat of dental headgear and an armchair diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Molly developed a quick wit and clever approach that she applies to her stories across genres. Molly graduated from UCLA’sProfessional Program in Writing for Television in 2024, and she was selected for the Hollywood Radio & Television Society’s 2025 Fellowship. Molly’s scripts have advanced in Final Draft’s Big Break Screenwriting Contest and have been featured on Coverfly’s The Red List. Most recently, Molly was named a semifinalist in the 2025 Humanitas New Voices Fellowship. Originally from Pittsburgh, Molly now resides in Los Angeles. When she’s not writing, you can find her playing tennis in Griffith Park, attempting a new dessert recipe, or hosting neighborhood game nights with a totally normal level of competitiveness.
